Ed Harris received the Kirk Douglas Award for Excellence in Film from the Santa Barbara International Film Festival at a gala last night — and ET was there!
The 91-year-old Kirk was on-hand to present the award personally to the veteran star and director, whose new Western ‘Appaloosa’ goes wide in theaters this weekend.

BOSTON (AP) — Sandra Bernhard says the decision by a women’s shelter to cut her act from its annual benefit was based on a misleading account of what she said about Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.

Sharon Stone is hitting back at court documents that claim she wanted her son to receive Botox treatments for his “foot odor.”

Paramount Pictures is plotting a return to organized crime for Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro. The studio has hired Steve Zaillian to adapt “I Heard You Paint Houses,” the book about the mob assassin who many believe was involved in the death of Teamster boss Jimmy Hoffa.

SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — One of South Korea’s most popular actresses was found dead Thursday in an apparent suicide after suffering from post-divorce depression and harassment by online rumors about her allegedly irregular financial dealings, police said.

SAG negotiators ask board for strike vote

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Screen Actors Guild’s negotiating committee voted Wednesday to support a strike authorization vote, a tactic meant to break stalled contract talks with Hollywood studios.
The recommendation, approved 11-2, now goes to the guild’s national board for review, and would ultimately need approval of 75 percent of the some 120,000 voting guild members.
