NEW YORK (AP) — Lindsay Lohan referred to President-elect Barack Obama as the country’s “first colored president” in an interview on “Access Hollywood.”
Describing her experience on Election Day, Lohan said: “It was really exciting. It’s an amazing feeling. It’s our first colored president.”

SYDNEY, Australia (AP) — Michelle Williams’ father, a prominent stock market trader, agreed Tuesday to return to the United States to face tax evasion charges.
Larry Williams has been fighting extradition since he was arrested by Australian police in 2006 after flying to Sydney for a speaking tour in Australia and New Zealand. He has been free on bail.

“Twilight” takes over San Francisco! What exactly happened when fans found they would have a chance to be in the same building as star Robert Pattinson?
According to CBS 5, police were forced to cancel an event at Stonestown Galleria Mall when more than 3,000 people showed up for an event where Pattinson was expected.

Columbia Pictures is back in the dojo with a new version of the 1984 hit “The Karate Kid,” which has been refashioned as a star vehicle for Jaden Smith.
The film will be produced by Jerry Weintraub (who launched the original franchise) and Overbrook Entertainment’s James Lassiter, Will Smith and Ken Stovitz. Will Smith, who is the 10-year-old actor’s father, co-starred alongside Jaden in his feature debut, “The Pursuit of Happyness,” which Overbrook and Escape Artists produced for Columbia.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Families herded into movie theaters for another trek with stranded zoo animals as the animated sequel “Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa” led the weekend with a $63.5 million debut, according to studio estimates Sunday.
