The studio behind ‘Twilight’ has already made a move to develop sequels to the highly anticipated vampire flick.

Police: Comedian Katt Williams in weapons arrest

NEW YORK (AP) — Comedian Katt Williams has been arrested on weapons charges in midtown Manhattan after police say they pulled him over for driving a car without license plates.

The 35-year-old performer was released on bail Thursday in time to make it for his show at Carnegie Hall. He told the audience that he “just got out of jail.”

Police say a handgun was found in Williams’ car after he was stopped for the alleged traffic violation.

Jane Fonda returns to B’way in ‘33 Variations’

NEW YORK (AP) — Jane Fonda, activist, author and exercise guru, will be back on Broadway in 2009 after an absence of more than four decades.

The Academy Award-winning actress will star in “33 Variations,” a play by Moises Kaufman about a present-day musicologist (played by Fonda) and her study of Beethoven’s fascination with a particular piece of music. NEW YORK (AP) — Carol Alt had lots of good things to say about former hockey player Ron Greschner when she testified in federal court Tuesday about their 18-year marriage, but the good vibe wasn’t enough to end their dispute over money earned in a business venture.

Pair involved in LaBeouf crash charged

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Prosecutors have charged two people involved in an accident that injured Shia LaBeouf with giving police false information.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office said Monday it filed one misdemeanor count apiece for Herbert Simon, 22, and Kimberly Bent, 21.
